Plan Ahead For Holiday Shipments
If you’re like most GLSC customers, your scrip program volume
doubles, triples or even quadruples during the holiday season.
That means our holiday volume surges as well, and we are
challenged to assemble many more orders with timely delivery
and minimal backorders.
To answer the challenge, we've added extra staff, we've
upgraded our systems, we've increased our inventory, and we
are working several shifts to process your orders.
Unfortunately, no matter how much staff and hours we add,
we simply cannot process your orders during the holiday season
as quickly as we can the rest of the year.
To help you plan, we've carefully projected our order volume
and can guarantee delivery dates based on the calendar below.
Please keep in mind these schedules represent the
maximum amount of time we may need to
turnaround your order during the busiest periods. In
many cases, we will be able to deliver your orders ahead of
this schedule. However, we urge you to plan for the
turnaround schedules listed below, and we will do our best to
get your orders to you ahead of schedule:

The calendar areas in white will be subject TO our normal
turnaround schedule - orders placed by 1pm Eastern Time, will
be scheduled to leave our offices the following business day. So
on the white dates, an order placed by 1pm on Monday
would be scheduled to leave our offices on Tuesday.
So if you chose
overnight delivery, you would receive your package on Wednesday.
The yellow calendar areas are two day turnaround. For
example, an order placed before 1pm Eastern Time on
Monday will be scheduled to leave our offices no later
than Wednesday, for overnight delivery on Thursday.

Finally, an order placed on the red calendar dates - the
heaviest volume days of the year - will be subject to three
day turnaround. So an order placed on Monday
before 1pm will be scheduled to leave our offices on
Thursday, for overnight delivery on Friday.

Please keep in mind that this schedule is a "worst case"
scenario and of course, we will always ship your order ahead
of schedule if possible. But to ensure that you have the scrip you need to
keep your programs running smoothly, we would like you to plan
ahead and give us (and yourselves) a little extra time this
holiday season.
In addition, here are some other facts you should keep in mind
as you plan your holiday schedule:

Urge your families to order early - The sooner in the
season they order for holiday gift-giving, the better we are
able to ensure they will have what they need.

Order early in the day - Our phone lines and web site
can have literally thousands of customers attempting to get
in an order just before the 1pm deadline. Avoid the
crowds and order early in the day.

Use glscrip.com to order and check order status -
GLSC has increased our bandwidth more than ten times over
our capacity of last year. You can order faster,
earlier and get the status of your order much easier online
than you can by phone.

Select overnight service for deliveries - During the
holiday rush, ground shipment package volume dramatically
increases, and delivery times increase also. Choose
overnight delivery to ensure you get your package as quickly
as possible once it is complete.
