Please note that effective Saturday, August 18, 2007 Great Lakes Scrip Center will increase shipping rates due to rising fuel costs incurred by our delivery providers. The rate for ground shipments will increase to $7.50, Standard overnight service will rise to $11.50 and Priority Overnight Service will rise to $13.00.
We understand how our non-profit customers are sensitive to shipping expenses, and you'll be pleased to know GLSC has taken aggressive action to minimize the effects of rising costs. One action we've taken is to consolidate all of our outbound shipping with FedEx. Also beginning on August 20th, FedEx will be our exclusive shipping partner, and all GLSC orders will be shipped via FedEx beginning that day.
Consolidating all of our shipments with a single carrier has two primary benefits to our customers:
* An exclusive commitment means FedEx is able to give us more attractive rates, and allows us to consolidate internal shipping processes, which helps us minimize the effects of constantly rising fuel prices
* Since GLSC will ship all packages with FedEx, we are able to easily integrate FedEx technology into our production process. That means you will get better information about shipping options available to you and better information to track a package.
