Great Lakes Scrip Center will be closed to celebrate the Christmas holiday on Friday, December 22, 2006. We will return for business as usual on Wednesday, December 27th.

We expect both products to be available again after January 1, 2007. We will advise you as soon as they are available.

Our friends at Federal Express have advised us that their Money-Back Guarantee policy is amended for the period immediately preceding Christmas. The amended policy is:
Air Shipments - Fedex will not be obligated to refund
or credit your transportation charges during the period of
December 18 - 25 for any FedEx Express service delivered
within 90 minutes of the published delivery commitment time
for the selected service and destination.
Ground Shipments - In all events, the FedEx
Money-Back Guarantee does not apply when there is a failure
or delay of service when packages are tendered for
transportation during the 14 calendar days before Christmas.
As you can imagine, FedEx package volume increases enormously during the Christmas season and they ask for some extra patience and understanding as they deliver your packages.

Great news... Sears and Kmart are offering a year-end 2% bonus discount from Saturday, December 16 until December 29, 2006. So during the bonus period, you can purchase Sears gift cards at a 6% discount instead of the normal 4% discount; and Kmart gift cards at a 4% discount instead of the normal 2% discount.
Sears and Kmart are two of GLSC's most popular retailers, and now you can save even more on last-minute shopping and gifts. Please advise your member families as soon as possible.

We have recently been advised by ServiceMaster that they will no longer participate in scrip fundraising programs after January 1, 2007. After that date, we will have limited supplies of ServiceMaster gift cards which will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

Please advise your member families that Sharper Image has been discontinued effective immediately. We have enough inventory to fill existing orders, but we will no longer accept new orders for Sharper Image gift cards.

Over the past few weeks, we've advised our customers we might need some extra time to prepare and ship your orders.
We are once again pleased to report that we've set new records for orders and line items shipped for the week ending today. We have also been above to ship 75% of this week's orders placed before 1:00pm EST by the next business day. Finally, we are especially proud to report the cards and certificates ordered this week were 99.9997% in stock.

Please advise your member families that the See's Candies "one pounder" gift certificate will increase in price from $14.10 to $14.50 effective January 1, 2007. The discount is unchanged at 25%.

The decision to drop CompUSA was made because of persistent difficulties in replenishing our inventories. Since we cannot guarantee reliable supplies for our customers, we will no longer offer the product.

Earlier this year, we advised our customers that Wendy's would be changing from $10 paper certificates to a $10 gift card. We have run out of Wendy's paper certificates and have switched to the new gift card effective immediately.
At the same time, the Wendy's discount is changed to 4%.

We have recently learned that A&W has run out of certificates and will be unable to replenish our inventories until after January 1st, 2007. We have a limited number of A&W $5s which sold on a first-come, first-served basis. We expect them to sell out by the end of today.
We will notify our customers when A&W is once again available.

We have recently learned that Piggly Wiggly has temporarily run out of $100 gift cards and they will be unable to re-supply us with $100s until sometime after January.
In the meantime, please advise your member families to order the Piggly Wiggly $25 and $50 denominations, which are still readily available.
