Great Lakes Scrip Center is pleased to welcome Gottschalks to our growing retailer list. Gottschalks is available in $25 and $100 denominations at an 8% contribution.
Gottschalks operates 63 department stores and 10 specialty stores throughout six western states: California, Washington, Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Nevada. Gottschalks gift cards may be used to purchase merchandise and in-store services from all Gottschalks or Village East locations; they may also be used to pay Gottschalks charge account balances as long as charge payments are made in the store.

On December 12, we announced that Musicland Corporation would be closing all Media Play locations in January.
Now that the Media Play stores are closing, customers who were planning on using the cards at Media Play are requesting to return the cards to GLSC for a refund. Remember, the Sam Goody/Media Play cards are still redeemable at Sam Goody and Suncoast Video locations. If there are no Sam Goody or Suncoast locations near you, GLSC will accept the cards for a refund if the SamGoody/Media Play cards were purchased after November 1, 2005.
All Sam Goody/Media Play returns must be pre-authorized. To obtain a return authorization:
- Determine when you ordered and received the cards, and jot down the Order ID for easy reference. The cards must have been purchased after November 1, 2005 and they must be in re-sellable condition.
- Contact GLSC customer service at 800-727-4715.
- When you have a received return authorization form, pack the cards securely, and ship them to GLSC with the return paperwork completely filled out.
Some re-stocking fees may apply. GLSC will not accept Media Play return requests after February 3, 2006.
In December, we announced that Ross Dress for Less had temporarily run out of $25 denomination gift cards. As an alternative, GLSC began offering Ross Dress for Less $10 gift cards until the $25s are back in stock.
We are pleased to report the Ross Dress for Less $25s are back in stock and available for order. The $10 denomination will only be available while supplies last.
The NPO contribution is unchanged at 8%.
Please advise your member families that Proffitt's and McRae's are now part of the Belk Department stores, a family-owed and operated department store headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
GLSC shoppers will be glad to know that Belk Department store gift cards are now redeemable at Proffitt's and McRae's. The Belk Department stores have a long history of serving shoppers in the Southern US.
Belk Department store gift cards are available in $25 denominations at a 7% benefit.

Great Lakes Scrip Center will close April 3 thru April 7 for system maintenance, inventory and planned employee vacations. GLSC will resume normal business operations at 8:30 am on Monday, April 10.
This traditional Spring break week was chosen for the planned shutdown since it is historically one of the slowest weeks of the year. Orders placed after 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 30 will ship on Monday, April 10. Please plan your spring break orders accordingly.

The Gap has informed us that they have exhausted their supply of Gap gift cards. The Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic are all owned by Gap, Inc. Gap Inc. has informed us that they are revising their gift card program and will combine all of their brands on one multi-use card that will be redeemable at The Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic.
In the meantime, our supply of Gap gift cards is exhausted. We advise our Gap shoppers to order the Old Navy/Gap $25, which is redeemable at the Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic. In addition, we will carry the individual Banana Republic card while those supplies last.
Rest assured you can shop at all of the Gap stores with the Old Navy/Gap $25. We will notify you as soon as the newly designed card is available.
We have recently learned that Smart & Final has temporarily run out of $50 cards and will be unable to provide additional $50 cards for several weeks. As a result, we have temporarily suspended orders for Smart & Final $50s. We will advise you when they are once again available.
In the meantime, Smart & Final is still available in $25 and $100 denominations, and the NPO benefit remains unchanged at 3%.
