Longs Drug announced that they will be closing stores in Oregon, Washington and Colorado. Longs Drug is closing 31 stores in these certain markets because they have not been performing well. However, they have 25 scheduled to open in the next year through CA, HI, & NV. Longs has informed GLSC that they still do not have a definite schedule on the ones closing but they are somewhere between 3 weeks and six months.
These store closings are isolated to the specific areas described above and do not affect the more than 500 remaining Longs Drug Stores.
Please advise your member families that they still have the option to use the gift cards for online purchases. GLSC urges Longs Drug customers to use any remaining gift cards in your possession soon before the closing of these particular stores occurs.
