Yesterday we announced that Johnny Rockets would be temporarily unavailable while we waited for the new $20 denomination to arrive.

We are pleased to announce that Johnny Rockets is back in stock in the new $20 denomination. The old $5 denomination is no longer available, and the discount is unchanged at 8%.

Great Lakes Scrip Center has recently learned that Wendy's will soon be switching from paper certificates to gift cards. Due to complications in the Wendy's distribution system, we will run out of paper certificates before we will be able to stock and sell our customers the new prepaid Wendy's gift cards.

Our remaining Wendy's paper certificates will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. The delay before we can offer Wendy's gift cards may be weeks or months. In addition, Wendy's has advised us the discount will also be reduced when the new gift cards are available.

We advise you to plan accordingly.

Great Lakes Scrip Center is pleased to announce the Chipotle discount will increase from 6% to 10% effective Saturday, October 28, 2006. The denomination is unchanged at $10.

Great Lakes Scrip Center is proud to announce the addition of National Amusements Theatres to our list of entertainment providers. GLSC customers will recognize all of the popular National Amusements theatres including Showcase Cinemas, Cinema DeLux, Multiplex Cinemas, and The Bridge.

If you’re like most GLSC customers, your scrip program volume doubles, triples or even quadruples during the holiday season. That means our holiday volume surges as well, and we are challenged to assemble many more orders with timely delivery and minimal backorders.

To answer the challenge, we've added extra staff, we've upgraded our systems, we've increased our inventory, and we are working several shifts to process your orders. Unfortunately, no matter how much staff and hours we add, we simply cannot process your orders during the holiday season as quickly as we can the rest of the year.

To help you plan, we've carefully projected our order volume and can guarantee delivery dates based on the calendar below. Please keep in mind these schedules represent the maximum amount of time we may need to turnaround your order during the busiest periods. In many cases, we will be able to deliver your orders ahead of this schedule. However, we urge you to plan for the turnaround schedules listed below, and we will do our best to get your orders to you ahead of schedule:

The calendar areas in white will be subject to our normal turnaround schedule - orders placed by 1pm Eastern Time, will be scheduled to leave our offices the following business day. So on the white dates, an order placed by 1pm on Monday would be scheduled to leave our offices on Tuesday. So if you chose overnight delivery, you would receive your package on Wednesday.

The yellow calendar areas are two day turnaround. For example, an order placed before 1pm Eastern Time on Monday will be scheduled to leave our offices no later than Wednesday, for overnight delivery on Thursday.

Please keep in mind that this schedule is a "worst case" scenario and of course, we will always ship your order ahead of schedule if possible. But to ensure that you have the scrip you need to keep your programs running smoothly, we would like you to plan ahead and give us (and yourselves) a little extra time this holiday season. In addition, here are some other facts you should keep in mind as you plan your holiday schedule:

• Urge your families to order early - The sooner in the season they order for holiday gift-giving, the better we are able to ensure they will have what they need.
• Order early in the day - Our phone lines and web site can have literally thousands of customers attempting to get in an order just before the 1pm deadline. Avoid the crowds and order early in the day.
• Use glscrip.com to order and check order status - GLSC has increased our bandwidth more than ten times over our capacity of last year. You can order faster, earlier and get the status of your order much easier online than you can by phone.
• Select overnight service for deliveries - During the holiday rush, ground shipment package volume dramatically increases, and delivery times increase also. Choose overnight delivery to ensure you get your package as quickly as possible once it is complete.

We have recently learned that samgoody.com will discontinue operations after January 1, 2007.

Great Lakes Scrip Center and Bass Pro Shops are pleased to offer our customers a 2% holiday bonus discount from Saturday, October 14 thru Friday, December 29. During the bonus period, GLSC customers can purchase Bass Pro Shops $25 gift cards at a 9% discount instead of the normal 7% discount.

Bass Pro Shops cards make a great gift, and Bass Pro Shops have a great selection of hunting and fishing gear for all of the outdoorsmen in your family.

New Cub Foods East, the owner and operator of Cub Foods stores, announced that the Company has reached a business decision to exit the market and sell the properties owned and operated by New Cub Foods East. The Company is discontinuing operations at all Cub Foods Stores located in the greater Chicagoland and Loves Park markets, resulting in the shutdown and liquidation of 21 retail stores beginning immediately; to be completed in the next six to eight weeks. 

GLSC urges Chicagoland clients to use any remaining Cub Foods cards in your possession well before the Cub Foods transition is completed.

Great News! Albertson's gift cards are now available through Great Lakes Scrip Center in $25 and $100 denominations at a 4% discount. Albertson's gift cards can also be redeemed at all Jewel-Osco and Savon Drug locations nationwide.

Please note the Albertson's/Jewel card can only be redeemed in-store, and cannot be redeemed for pay-at-the-pump or online purchases. Also, the card cannot be used at Shaw's, Supersaver, Star Markets, Bristol Farms, or freestanding Osco Drug locations.

In addition, we have a limited number of Jewel-Osco $10 paper certificates, which will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Once these $10 denominations are gone, we will only stock the Albertson's/Jewel $25 and $100 denominations.

Please advise your organization member families that Houlihan's will no longer be available due to difficulties in replenishing our inventories.

GLSC's remaining Houlihan's debit cards will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please advise your member families that Regal Entertainment is now available in a $25 gift card denomination. The old $10 paper certificates will only be available while supplies last. Also the discount is unchanged at 8% for the new $25 gift card.

Regal Entertainment gift cards can be redeemed for admissions and concessions at all Regal Cinemas, United Artist, Edwards Theater, and Hoyts Cinema locations nationwide.

Please advise your member families that California Pizza Kitchen has temporarily run out of gift certificates. Consequently, we are unable to accept new orders for California Pizza Kitchen until inventories can be replenished.
