In mid-October, Lowe's announced the "Building Up To The Holidays" giveaway, which rewarded three lucky non-profit organizations for their purchases and reloads of Lowe's Gift Cards. The contest winners were selected by a random drawing of all organizations who ordered or reloaded Lowe's Gift Cards, from Great Lakes Scrip Center, between the dates of October 17, 2009, and November 13, 2009. Every $25 dollar unit spent on Lowe's Gift Cards during the promotional period earned one entry in the drawing pool.
